Vitamin B6 is also called Pyridoxine with the most absorbent or form being pyridoxine-five-phosphate, commonly referred to as P5P. Vitamin B6 helps make chemical messages in the nervous system so can impact on mood,  it i sneeded for red blood cells, hormone and immune balance. Some women find it helpful for morning sickness and nausea when pregnant.

The RDA of vitamin B6 is 1.4mg and the SONA is 12.5mg. An excess of vitamin B6 can lead to tingling in the fingers and toes.

A lack of vitamin B6 can be associated with poor dream recall, carpal tunnel syndrome, dermatitis, sore tongue and depression.

Good food sources of vitamin B6 are; Calf liver, bananas, potatoes, lentils, brewer’s yeast, trout, tuna, cod, cooked spinach, avocado, peppers, kale, Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower
