All about Zinc

Zinc is found in many enzymes, making it vital for healing, growth and repair of the body. The immune system also needs zinc to work at its best, and zinc is a powerful antioxidant as well.  It helps balance blood sugar and is needed for digestion of protein. The reproductive system relies on zinc, and poor fertility has been linked to low levels.

The RDA of zinc is 10 mg and theSONA is 25mg.

A lack of zinc is associated with a loss of taste or appetite, anorexia, poor night vision, stretch marks, poor wound healing, frequent colds and persistent infections

Good food sources of the Zinc are; Calf liver, oysters, salmon, clams, crab, lobster, lean red meat, chicken, turkey, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, oatmeal, brown rice, lentils, rye bread, spinach, baked potato, plain natural yogurt, milk, white beans, lima beans and eggs
